Another season is upon us. I love winter until January 2nd. After that I want Spring to arrive straight away. Once Christmas and the hype of the new year has died away then I want Spring to sweep me up and away from the cold and the damp. But to make the winter time a bit easier here are some recommendations that I think work well with the season.
Another year has flown by and what a year it has been. I have had a lot more off blog milestones reached so this year blog wise has been business as usual.
But 5 whole years! Half a decade of talking about books! I mean that is insane! 1826 days or 260 weeks or 60 months!
So, let’s talk about the last year.
So, I thought I would give a little update regarding DNFs.
I did a really similar post earlier this year with the 24 books I want to read before my 24th birthday. But I have read some of those books this year and I also want to keep in track of my annual posts. So it’s is a bit similar but with some slight changes from my post back in August!
So over the last 3 months I read Natalie Haynes two non-fiction books about Greek mythology. I have been loving reading about greek mythology from a non-fiction point of view.
Another year, another batch of series I have finished.
Last week, I recommended some great books with monsters/creatures at the centre of the story but not everyone is into those kinds of stories so if you’re more of an atmospheric person, check out these books!
So, as I am trying to catch up on reviews, I thought I would review the last two books I read which both happen to be Dark Academia set in the world of the performing arts. One book is set at an elite Parisian ballet academy and the other book is set at a prestigious performing acts school in Edinburgh.
Halloween is drawing ever nearer and I thought I would bring back a post which originated in 2020. Today, I will be recommending books with a big focus on creepy monsters.
So I have been really slacking on reviews lately. I have no idea what it is but I have been really struggling with writer’s block and can’t write more than a paragraph about books I have been reading. Whether I love the book or hate the book.
So here are some tiny reviews of the last 3 books I have read.
