Today, I wanted to talk about 4 authors that have captivated me this year. Quite a lot of these authors had series that I recently finished and 1 of these authors I have only just started reading. Let’s jump in.

- Author: Dorothy L. Sayers
- Number of published works: Around 16
- How many have I read: 11
- Most known for book/series: Lord Peter Wimsey series
As many of you now know, I am a massive fan of what is known as the Golden Age of British Crime Fiction. I am currently making my way through all of Agatha Christie’s work. But, I wanted to branch out more and one day in July, I decided to listen to the audiobook collections of Dorothy L. Sayers’ Lord Peter Wimsey novels. Well, I listened to all of them in the span of 3 months and loved every single one! I just have her short stories left but I have made the decision to re-read all of her books so I can have physical copies of the stories.
My next book to read by this author is: Whose Body? (Paperback version)

- Author: Tessa Bailey
- Number of published works: Around 43
- How many have I read: 2
- Most known for book/series: The Bellinger Sister duology
This author is the reason I got into the romance genre. Her Bellinger Sister series was fun, exciting and light-hearted. An easy read when you want to relax. While I probably won’t be able to get round to reading her insane amount of backlist books – I will be reading anything new that she comes out with.
My next book to read by this author is: My Killer Vacation

- Author: N.K. Jemisin
- Number of published works: 11
- How many have I read: 3
- Most known for book/series: The Broken Earth Trilogy
This was the year that I finally finished the Broken Earth Trilogy. I wasn’t going to read 1 book a year but the second book in this trilogy was so so good that I had to finish the series before the year was out!
My next book to read by this author is: The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms

- Author: Hiromu Arakawa
- Number of published works: 2 manga series.
- How many have I read: 1
- Most known for book/series: Fullmetal Alchemist Series
Another monumental series that I have officially finished. It was such an emotional feeling to read that last panel and realise that it’s over. I would like to read her other series, Silver Spoon, which is very very different from Fullmetal Alchemist but before I get to that I want to read the light novels set in this world. These novels are not written by Arakawa but other authors, with her permission.
My next book to read by this author is: The Land of Sand by Makoto Inoue
