It’s that time of year again when I highlight some brand new podcasts that I have started. This is my 4th time doing this post. I am always so happy to highlight some great podcasts.
I am on a roll recently with the amount of books I’ve been reading. So, here is another double review post.
So, last week I went on the beautiful British Pullman train to take part in a murder mystery experience with Murder on the Menu!
Sometimes you get the odd series here and there that you just don’t love or you read the first book hoping to continue the series and just realise it is not for you.
Today I thought I would list some of those series for you guys.
The Alexandrian Society is a secret society of magical academicians, the best in the world. Their members are caretakers of lost knowledge from the greatest civilizations of antiquity. And those who earn a place among their number will secure a life of wealth, power, and prestige beyond their wildest dreams. Each decade, the world’s six most uniquely talented magicians are selected for initiation…
When the candidates are recruited by the mysterious Atlas Blakely, they are told they must spend one year together to qualify for initiation. During this time, they will be permitted access to the Society’s archives and judged on their contributions to arcane areas of knowledge. Five, they are told, will be initiated. One will be eliminated. If they can prove themselves to be the best, they will survive. Most of them.
Life at Grace Field House has been good for Emma and her fellow orphans. While the daily studying and exams they have to take are tough, their loving caretaker provides them with delicious foods and plenty of playtime. But perhaps not everything is as it seems… Emma, Norman and Ray are the brightest kids at the Grace Field House orphanage. And under the care of the woman they refer to as “Mom,” all the kids have enjoyed a comfortable life. Good food, clean clothes and the perfect environment to learn—what more could an orphan ask for? One day, though, Emma and Norman uncover the dark truth of the outside world they are forbidden from seeing.
In preparation for the new season here are a couple of books that I think would be a great read for when spring finally rolls around.
Since we are coming to the end of February I thought I would include 1 last romance focused blog post. Quite a lot of these are romance focused stories but some are stories that just happen to have romance in. I have taken 9 popular romance tropes and decided to recommend 1 book for each trope! Enjoy!
I thought the 2021 reflection posts were over but I forgot about this gem. Just another post to chat about some of the amazing books I read last year. So, these are my favourite books that I read in 2021, you have probably heard me talk about these ones a lot!
