Christmas 2020 Book Haul

Happy new year! But let’s try to not jinx it! I hope everyone had a nice break over the holidays despite the circumstances. I was fortunate enough on Christmas Day to be surrounded by my family and boyfriend. I was also lucky enough to receive some lovely books as gifts. As I do every Christmas, I asked for basically just books. Nothing else.

So, after all the presents were given and opened, I looked at the books that I got and knew I wanted to do a haul. I am super excited for the books I’m about to talk about as I am trying to branch out and try new things and authors!

One of the major factors of this haul is that I requested a lot more diverse books this year. I am trying to hold myself accountable and after looking at all the books I read in 2020 I was just not diverse enough. So, I have been asking for and personally buying myself more POC authors.

My aim for this haul is to show anyone who read this post the chance to find a new book and add it to their list!

Where the Mountain Meets the Moon – Grace Lin
Plot: In the valley of Fruitless Mountain, a young girl named Minli spends her days working hard in the fields and her nights listening to her father spin fantastic tales about the Jade Dragon and the Old Man of the Moon. Lord Edgware Dies – Agatha Christie

The Mystery of Three Quarters – Sophie Hannah

Safe to say I was very fortunate this year. I am super excited for what 2021 has to offer, reading wise, this is probably the most excited I have been for a reading year!
