I love big books. But I don’t read many of them as they really set back my goal. I tend to read them later in the year when I am closer to my goal just as they take up more time to read.

Since I was thinking about big books I decided to list the most intimidating books on my shelf. Mostly to do with how many pages but some them have other reasons to be intimidating.

Reasons I am intimidated by this book:

• This book is 1,008 pages long.
• I am worried that it will get boring and I would have invested a lot of time into a book that wasn’t worth it.
• Loads of people love this book so I don’t wanna hate it.

Reasons I am intimidated by this book:

• 784 pages.
• A friend bought it for me so I want to like it for them!
• I have read 1 Neil Gaiman book and did not enjoy it at all so that has got me worried!

Reasons I am intimidated by this book:

• 704 pages!
• I haven’t read many books like this one so it’s very much out of my comfort zone.

Reasons I am intimidated by this book:

• 661 pages
• I have heard mixed things from people I follow which worries me.
• I have been reading more and more adult fantasy but there is just something about this book that makes me think I’m going to struggle with it.

Reasons I am intimidated by this book:

• This again is a kind of book I tend to not read much of so I am worried I won’t enjoy it!
• Also, a lot of people have recommended this book to me so I want to love it.
